Today a VMWare Applicance was released. This allows you to easily setup an AST server on Linux or Windows. Simply download a copy of VMWare Player (free) and then load up the image in it. It boots up a very small copy of Gentoo Linux with apache configured to run ast. Simply navigate to http://serversip/ast. You will see the IP address when booting up. You can log in as root with the password ast if needed. You can download this release on the files page.
